Vacations planning

without comments

This year will be the first year, after long time, that I’ll organise summer vacations. I can’t decide where to go, I will try to keep it low budget because my financial status is going “low, low, low” after the iMac purchase. As a destination for vacations I never liked the Greek island, ironically I’m Greek.

This year though, I took a taste of Greek vacations at Chalkidiki, which is a very popular destination for the locals. The sea was great, the sun hot and the place inviting for relaxing. I changed a lot from two years a go. I dislike the fake high-class clubs for 150 people that leave 200 in. Maybe once every now and then, but that’s far and away from how I used to be. Maybe it’s the age or the loss of interest. Not it’s neither, I just grew up and I pretend my space, even inside the club. I like restaurants and sight scenes these days. Maybe a good rock pub or really classy club for above-24 is good. So, what I was thinking for this year is cyclades. I went to Paros and Mykonos when I was 16 and 17 years old but then, I just stopped travelling inside Greece. For this year I’m seriously thinking or going to Santorini. It’s one of the most famous Greek islands and from the comments, must be one of the most beautiful. The sunset from Santorini is known world wide as one of the finest you can find in the Mediterranean sea.

The first problem are the dates, there’s always this problem with the vacation date. It’s like if the entire universe turns against you, so that you can’t have holidays with your friends. On the 15th of August my and my girlfriend have our name day, the 17th it’s my sisters b-day. I’m not sure if I can miss all that, but maybe my sister is going to Italy with my mother. We’ll see about that.

However, I need at least 5 days of relax and good food. Anyway, there is plenty of time for planning, I have the entire next month.
